Whoa, this puppy’s paws are sore. Rod Bowman (ISST SWAT), his wife and mine attacked the strip today. Seeing no less than a dozen hotels and casinos (felt that way at least), shopping malls, art on ceilings of Venetian, Cesars Palace, Belagio, Wynn, etc. Way too much walking, but we braved the rain and had a great time. Posting some of the photos taken on my Blackberry of our adventures and funny stuff seen in Las Vegas here. I’ll try and add some to this Pulse Flickr group as well here.
Ran into some of the first IBMers I’ve seen trickling in- Naeem Altaf, Ben Stern, Heath Newburn. A business partner whom I helped out last year grabbed me and said our work helped them close a big Tivoli Netcool/Proviso (not sure of new name) deal. I love that kind of feedback!
We ate at a great Mexican place in the Venetian area and at the Grand Wok and Sushi Bar in the MGM for dinner. Great sushi and Navy talk with Rod’s boss Bill Davis who retired after 20 years in the Navy.
I’m looking forward to taking the wife to the Ka show tonight. Tiffany Winman said it was great! Rod says we should go to the Rio later tonight so non-stop action so far.
I’ll be at the business partner event and then in the demo booths for the kick off reception tomorrow evening. Track me down and let’s talk BSM. Ask for your sticker!

In the spirit of IBM Tivoli Pulse next week, this week’s support tip will be a suggestion for you to “bring” your TBSM questions to me at Pulse in person or virtually.
I’ll be in the TBSM demo pods, Meet the Experts and most of the BSM related sessions (recording audio/video for later posting). We can get together, fire up TBSM on my laptop or in the demo pod and walk through your scenarios or current problems.
Ok, here’s the tip for the week. Got TCR? If you’re using the Tivoli Common Reporting components in TBSM v4.1.x or TBSM v4.2, check out this OPAL contribution to enable email distribution of TCR reports in PDF format. Check it out here!
Track me down, get a sticker and we’ll see what we can do to get you on your way with some quality TBSM information from the team on-site next week.

Spoiling my wife with her first trip to Las Vegas Friday and Saturday. Poked around the massive MGM Grand complex to get the lay of the land. Big as usual. Ate at one of the Chinese food court shops for lunch. Bought Ka tickets for Saturday night’s 9:30pm show. Ate dinner at a Marrakech Moroccan Belly Dancing place. It was a six course meal with great “sights”. The food was excellent!
Headed out to Freemont St. to check out the light shows, Queen and Kiss tributes were excellent. Played slots in some of the old school casinos. Much better deal than on the strip.
Track me down if you’d like to hang out before Pulse starts up. I’ll be at the Business Partner activities Sunday afternoon.
Don’t forget to ask for a sticker!
