Any Recommendations on a Wiki Platform?

in Uncategorized

I’m looking for a wiki platform that I can use to complement my blog. It could be something that I deploy myself (pureplay wiki, CMS based wiki, etc.) or something that’s hosted and allows complete customization and branding (domain, look/feel), etc.

Anyone have any recommendations? Examples?

Tks,

Doug

  • I recommend Confluence, especially seems good for sharing in Enterprise

    best regards.

  • I’ve used both TWiki and PBWiki and like them both.

WikiMatrix has great info on a huge amount of Wiki platforms and also includes a tool to help you come up with a short list of options based on the critical features that you want.

    Abbas.

  • Thanks Justin, Eric and Abbas.

I’ve used the commercial version of Confluence extensively. Our internal IBM wiki is based on it IIRC.

OpenWiki looks nice as well. I looked at WikkaWiki and PMWiki as they were part of my host’s SimpleScripts service.

I’m kicking the tires with DokuWiki at this time. The install was a snap and things seem pretty intuitive so far.

    Stay tuned!

    Tks,

    Doug
