IBM, HP, BMC, Fujitsu to collaborate on a standard specification for CMDB federation and integration. It will be interesting to see where this goes. It should at least help to make sure that when a vendor says they’re open and federated, that they really are.
Technology Leaders to Create Specification for Federating and Accessing IT Information
