Here’s a nice whitepaper on how to get events from z/OS into Tivoli Business Service Manager (TBSM) 4.1 and Netcool/OMNIbus in advance of any formal integrations with z/OS or Tivoli mainframe products.

This paper provides an overview of methods that can be used to send information from z/OS events (SYSLOG messages, SNA alerts, etc.) to Tivoli Business Service Manager (TBSM) Version 4.1. Since TBSM 4.1 uses the NetCool/OMNIbus technology, these methods can also be used for sending z/OS information to Netcool/OMNIbus.
